Task
The company Privatmolkerei Naarmann KG responded to a request from the retail market to place a bigger assortment on Duesseldorf pallets before delivery. However, the existing storage system is designed for euro-pallets. In order to ensure future use of the storage equipment, the Duesseldorf pallets must be collocated on the euro-pallets in pairs.
Solution
The Duesseldorf pallets which were previously handled in the production are removed via existing conveyor system for pallets and locked out on the new conveyor system in the pallet changing zone. Here the Duesseldorf pallets are brought together in pairs, fixed and automatically placed on euro-pallets which had been removed and allocated from an automatic pallet magazine. The completed euro-pallet is then removed and provided for taking over via lift truck.
